Lululemon Align Lookalikes – The Best Leggings on Amazon

Lululemon Align alternatives – Get the look for less

Lululemon’s Align leggings are a very popular product. In fact, they have a bit of a cult following. They are known for being super comfortable, flattering, and ultra soft. I’m personally a big fan. I love the soft fabric, the barely-there feeling, and lack of compression.

But Aligns have one serious flaw: They are delicate. Some might even say fragile.

As you will see in the reviews on the Lululemon site, the main complaint about Aligns is the pilling and quick-showing signs of wear. While Lululemon makes it clear that this garment should only be used for yoga or similar light activities, Aligns are too comfortable not to wear everywhere and for everything.

Understandably, many of my fellow fitness enthusiasts don’t want to pay the premium price tag for leggings that aren’t built to withstand reasonable, everyday wear and tear.

Lucky for you, I am basically addicted to testing activewear, and I have made it my personal mission in life to find pieces with the perfect blend of high quality and affordability. Lucky for me, there are some great brands on Amazon that are selling Align legging alternatives that are either similar in style or similar in functionality.

  • Small logo on the back

Shoppycat review notes

  • These are my favorite leggings of ANY brand! I wrote an in-depth review if interested.
  • If you want a classic design, buttery soft fabric, and a flattering fit, definitely give these ones a try.
  • These run true to size. I wear my regular legging size.
  • They have very light compression.
  • They are available in a 7/8 length, as well as full length.
  • The waistband is comfortable and wide without a seam.
  • Tons of color options! There are 40 offered colors and patterns at the time of this review being published.

Fabric comparison:

  • The fabric content of the CRZ Yoga legging is 81% Polyamide, 19% Lycra.
  • The fabric content of the Lululemon Align is Nulu, 80% Nylon and 20% Lycra.

Note: Spandex, Lycra, and elastane are interchangeable terms but mean the same thing. The different names are used depending on the country that manufactures it.

Similarities:

  • Seamless waistband
  • Available in 25″ and 28″ length
  • Buttery soft, brushed, soft fabric
  • Similar colors (like grey sage, for example)
  • High-rise
  • Hidden key pocket in the waistband

Shoppycat review notes

  • Wow, these are also a really great Align lookalike!
  • As far as sizing, I found this to run a bit snug. If you like a lot of compression, then it’s right up your alley. If you don’t want a lot of compression and prefer that naked feeling (like the Lululemon Aligns), then I suggest sizing up.
  • They are available in a 7/8 length, as well as full length.
  • The waistband is comfortable, with some compression (more than Aligns, in my opinion).
  • I think the color selection is gorgeous, and they have some shades that I haven’t seen from other activewear brands (for ex: the “carbon dust” color way is unique).

Fabric comparison:

  • The fabric content of the Hawthorn Athletics legging is 70% Nylon, 30% Spandex.
  • The fabric content of the Lululemon Align is Nulu, 80% Nylon and 20% Lycra.

Note: Spandex, Lycra, and elastane are interchangeable terms but mean the same thing. The different names are used depending on the country that manufactures it (or the brand’s preference in labeling).

Colorfulkoala

Similarities:

  • Seamless waistband
  • 25 and 28″ length available
  • Brushed, soft fabric
  • High-rise

Shoppycat review notes

  • These are so good! Super soft and comfortable.
  • These are different than the Colorfulkoala Buttery Soft leggings, which are also a popular item.
  • Sizing was a bit inconsistent (some colors run smaller than others).
  • A great piece for yoga, lounging, or light activities.

Fabric comparison:

  • The fabric content of the Colorfulkoala legging is 81% Nylon, 19% Spandex.

Similarities:

  • Seamless waistband
  • 25″ length
  • Brushed, soft fabric
  • High-rise
  • Hidden key pocket

Shoppycat review notes

  • Runs small, you might want to consider sizing up (unless you like a lot of compression).
  • Smoother texture than Aligns.
  • These come in a lot of colors and patterns.
  • Some sizes or colors are out of stock temporarily, but are likely to come back in stock.
  • These are an Amazon’s Choice product.
  • These are super popular, but I just don’t like them as much as Colorfulkoala, HeyNuts, or Yogalicious. However I still think they’re a great product and worth a try.

Fabric comparison:

  • The fabric content of the CRZ Yoga legging is 71% Polyamide, 29% Spandex.

Yogalicious

Similarities:

  • 28″ length
  • Buttery soft fabric
  • High-rise

Reviewer notes

  • This is the one only one on the list that does NOT have a seamless waistband. It has an elastic band at the top of the waistband. UPDATE: Yogalicious started making it without the elastic band!
  • This is an amazingly awesome product (one of my favs). It would be higher on the list if it was not always out of stock.
  • The Yogalicious listing on Amazon has leggings with 2 different Yogalicious fabrics: Nude Tech and Lux. The Nude Tech fabric is the one that is most similar to Lululemon Align.
  • These are an Amazon best seller. However there may be differences in fabric, depending on which color you purchase.
  • Can also be found at TJMaxx, Marshall’s, or Sierra Trading Post.
